Significant changes in the VAT legislation in North Cyprus were announced in the official gazette on 16th June 2023. These changes, which took effect from 1st July, have impacted the VAT rates of various items including local milk and dairy products, eggs, bottled water, baby diapers, edible table liquid vegetable oils, olives, fresh vegetables, and many more. The VAT rates for these items have been reduced from various rates to 0%, creating substantial implications for consumers and businesses.
