Niyazi Akman
Partner
Niyazi Akman obtained his BA in Accounting (Honours) from London Metropolitan University in 1985. From 1985 to 1989, he worked as an auditor at Garrod Becket & Co., Chartered Accountants in the UK. Between 1989-1990, he served as a part-time accounting lecturer at Eastern Mediterranean University. From 1993 to 2001, he held the position of senior partner at Ergin-Akman & Co. From 2001 to 2011, he was a partner at Raif Ömer & Co. On January 1, 2003, he established his own audit and consultancy firm, Niyazi Akman & Co. In 2017, Niyazi Akman became a senior partner at M.A.T.K. A Plus Audit firm , a specialized bank auditing firm with the Independent Audit License from the Central Bank of Northern Cyprus. Additionally, in 2022, he joined Tatar & Co. as a senior partner. Niyazi Akman currently serves as the president of the Independent Accountants Association in Northern Cyprus.
Haluk Akman
Partner
Haluk Akman received his bachelor's degree in Accounting and Finance from Middlesex University in 2011. Between 2013 and 2017, he worked as a senior auditor at the international audit firm Grant Thornton, responsible for the IFRS audits of notable companies such as Hayat Kimya and Kastamonu Entegre. After completing his Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) exams in 2017, Haluk became a member in 2021. He has extensive experience in IFRS reporting and local regulations. Haluk joined N. Akman & Co. in 2017 and became a partner in 2021. With extensive expertise in accounting, finance, and tax consultancy, Haluk Akman contributes to the digital transformation of accounting processes, driven by his keen interest in technology.
